Home>Zoning Ordinance Zoning OrdinanceSubject to public comment and the review and approval of the Garfield Township Planning Commission and Township Board and the City of Traverse City Planning Commission and City Commission, the zoning ordinance will provide for the public regulation of land use for the District. Based on the vision, goals, and objectives of the Master Plan, the Zoning Ordinance will establish land use regulations consistent with the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act - P.A. 110 of 2006 (M.C.L. 125.3101 et seq.)
The following documents are working draft chapters of the zoning ordinance. The Joint Planning Commisisoin is still working on language revisions, procedure questions and specific ditrict regulations code.
