Questions to Ask When Planning a New Building

* Is your plan safe or could it be a hazard to others in the community?

* Does what you plan conform to the laws regarding building?

* Is what you plan going to fit in its neighborhood or could it be viewed as an "eyesore" or bring down property values?

* Will your plan protect or endanger community resources such as water and air?

* Could your proposed development be a costly burden for the community to provide services?

* Have you looked at your community's Master Plan? Is your plan consistent with the community's vision for the area where you propose to build?
