Intergovernmental Cooperation Survey of Municipal Officials

Top

In 2006, the Land Information Access Association (LIAA) in collaboration with the Michigan Townships Association (MTA), Michigan Municipal League (MML) and Michigan State University's Land Policy Institute (LPI) with funding from the People and Land Program (PAL) conducted a comprehensive survey of municipal officials to learn more about the current status of intergovernmental cooperation in land use planning and regulation in Michigan. The results of the survey provided one of the first glimpses of the cooperative nature of municipal planning and zoning activities in Michigan.

The following documents provide a complete summary of the survey process and results.
